Spotlight on Art Therapy

Led by qualified art therapist Lisa Kempster, our weekly Art Therapy sessions are a chance to explore creativity, connection, and self-expression in a welcoming and supportive space.

Each session features a new project inspired by a different theme, medium, or artistic style, from painting and collage to sculpture and mixed media.

Together, we discover the joy of art in all its forms, with no pressure and no experience needed, just an open mind and a willingness to create.

We regularly share our artwork with the wider community through displays at the Woodvale Public Library, and our art program has taken us further afield too, from the Art Gallery of Western Australia to Sculpture by the Sea in Cottesloe, and even to the Andy Warhol exhibition at Wanneroo Art Gallery.

Back at Woodvale, we hosted our own creative workshops, including two community sessions with Bunnings, and a very special in-house sculpture workshop with exhibiting artist Tom de Munk-Kerkmeer, where customers collaborated to build a striking bamboo sculpture.

These experiences not only gave our customers the chance to explore new artistic techniques but also to share their work proudly with the community, celebrating creativity in all its forms.
