This year, we added a fresh twist to our healthy meals program with the launch of an aquaponics garden at the Woodvale Social Centre. Grown and cared for by our customers, the garden is flourishing with vibrant herbs bringing flavour, freshness, and a sense of pride straight into our kitchen.
Our chef uses these homegrown ingredients to prepare wholesome, nutritious meals that are enjoyed daily, whether around the table at Woodvale or delivered to the comfort of home.
And the joy doesn’t stop at the plate. Each week, Jack, one of our customers, volunteers to deliver meals to our customers. Jack looks forward to the drive, the quick chats at the door, and catching up with familiar faces.
This simple cycle, from aquaponics to plate, from hands to hearts, nourishes more than just bodies; it strengthens our community connections.
